Diva and Dahabi
Horses from 1000 and one night
Diva was taken in at Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf due to animal insurance. She is a beautiful grey mare who does not look her twenty-two years old. Together with Dahabi, also an Arabian thoroughbred, she lives in our stable.
Animal insurance for the benefit of animals

It is human nature not to really want to think about illness or death. This can be the undoing of a bereaved animal, for where is it to go if no one can be found to take it in?
Diva's owner had thought ahead and taken out pet insurance for Diva back in 2016. In the meantime, the lady has unfortunately fallen very ill and it has become impossible for her to take care of her horse.
Diva turns the head of all geldings
Immediately after their arrival, Diva and Dahabi were put in the stables of Mariella and Fiona, who spent their days in the summer pasture in a large group of horses.
Knowing that Massimo, a brown tiger Noriker, and Burli, a brown Noriker, are normally totally relaxed and above things, one is amazed at the wide-awake feelings that were awakened in the two of them. They were the direct neighbours of the two newcomers in the stable lane.
Diva's attempts at flirting did not leave the two Norikes cold and Massimo suddenly forgot that he was 18 years old. Burli's and Massimo's eyes were wide open with excitement, there was tension in their bodies and they definitely wanted to impress the pretty Diva with their behaviour. Was there a mischievous smile on Diva's lips?
In reality, she herself only has eyes for one: Dahabi
Dahabi, Mazsola and Diva were taken in on the same day in Henndorf. An e-mail seeking help reached Dieter Ehrengruber regarding the admission of Dahabi and Mazsola. Both were living in a stable owned by a gentleman who also suffered a heart attack after a serious back operation and is no longer able to pursue his profession as a film producer. His horses were used for film and stunt work. Corona had stopped all productions anyway, now the producer's illness is added to this. His wife is left with nothing. For 25 years there were horses in the stable, and now everything was hopelessly sad. Dahabi is 23 years old and has a bad knee, Mazsola is 28 years old and suffers from arthrosis. Out of sheer desperation, the two veteran horses should have been sent to horse heaven.
A woman turned out to be the guardian angel of the two great horses. She asked Dieter Ehrengruber to take in the horses. So there was to be a happy ending for them after all. Dahabi enjoys life together with Diva and Mazsola and feels very much at home in our A-stable, which was specially built for old and impaired horses. Dahabi seems to forget his sick knee when he can be with his Diva.
It is beautiful to watch the two horses standing together in the sun, being led into the stable together in the evening and being happy when they are called by name and stroked. So much warmth, so much gratitude and contentment emanating from the two of them makes some visitors think about the special nature of horses. Let us wish them a long, happy life together.
