Dog Cipi

Cipi is looking for a home - A special dog needs help!

Paralysed, but travelling with and without a wheelchair

When we look into the eyes of the well-behaved male dog Cipi, all we see is good-naturedness, joie de vivre and pure love. From the first moment we met our Cipi, we realised that he was something very special. Not just because he has physical limitations – no! His character and nature cast a spell over us all.

Hit by a car

Cipi had a serious car accident that took away his mobility in his hind legs, but not his positive attitude to life and his will. A Romanian vet and the animal lover nursed him back to health, but he would never be able to walk normally. He was given a wheelchair and lots of love. When the animal lover could no longer care for Cipi for personal reasons, we were asked for help. Cipi became an Aiderbichler in 2024.

From Romania to Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf

Our loyal friend knew exactly what he wanted and he got it. He didn’t like his initial placement in a room – the necessary period of quarantine – and drew attention to himself. Only when he was integrated into the dog group did he seem happy. But the next problem was just around the corner: the other dogs, especially the teenagers, enjoyed teasing Cipi when he was in his wheelchair. Even the bandages he had on his feet to keep him safe couldn’t withstand the young dogs’ playfulness for long. Without further ado, the decision was made to remove both the bandages and the wheelchair.

Cipi’s progress and new life

Cipi learnt to move around the site and became more and more confident. He walks with and without a wheelchair. He became braver and more exuberant. Now he is no longer teased by the boys and knows his place. He is very compatible with other dogs, a lovely chap, friendly to people and absolutely cuddly.

Cipi is looking for a loving home

But in the end we have to admit: Cipi needs a loving home with a large garden where he has his place as a guard dog and can run at his own pace. And he needs people who have the confidence to look after Cipi. We are sure that Cipi will reward these people with lots of love, loyalty and zest for life
