Valeria's miracle: When love knows no boundaries
Dear animal lovers,
At the beginning of 2025, I was allowed to start my journey into the world of Gut Aiderbichl and took over the area of special care placements. A few weeks have passed since then, I have learnt a lot and have been able to bring many families together with their soul dogs, cats and rabbits.
The job of animal placement is a wonderful and extremely fulfilling activity for me. But my field of work doesn’t only have beautiful sides – I witness the suffering of the dogs on the streets of Romania every day. It is not uncommon for us all to be overwhelmed by the feeling of helplessness. But especially in these times, the Gut Aiderbichl team experiences small miracles! I have been able to experience this myself several times.
As in the case of our well-behaved dog Valeria, who was found on the street together with her puppy Victor. Gut Aiderbichl employee Nicky didn’t hesitate for a second and collected the two of them. After a health check, they were allowed to move into our shelter. Almost at the same time, three little girls found their way to us, unfortunately without their mum. Gabriela, Georgia and Gloria missed their mum very much and seemed helpless.
Obviously, Valeria lives by the principle “Love does not divide, it can only grow!”, because she adopted the three puppies just a few days after her arrival. Since then, she has been raising four puppies and showering them with all the love she can muster.
Maternal care, generosity and unconditional love are qualities that are usually attributed to people. Selfless behaviour and good-naturedness are just as much attributed to humans as the supposed fact that they are the most intelligent creature on the planet. Valeria proves to us once again that animals are so much more than just animals. They are sentient fellow creatures, with needs, dreams and wants.
This story is almost a miracle for us – for Valeria, helping seems to be a matter of course.

Valeria was found together with a puppy named Victor on a street near our animal shelter in Romania. The caring dog even adopted three more puppies at our shelter, Gabriela, Georgia and Gloria. The dog family is now safe and when the puppies are old enough Valeria can leave Romania. We hope to find a loving home for this good dog mom.

A few days earlier, we found the dog Valeria with puppy Victor wandering the streets. The three of them were very lucky, because the loving mother dog Valeria took them all in and fed them with mother's milk. Now they are learning the first steps towards a life in a new home at the shelter. We hope that the sweet puppies will be so lucky again and that we will find a loving family to give them a forever home!
