Three blind young kittens
have crept into the hearts of many people
A family got "animal" addition: a young, black cat sat sometime in front of the house door and melted the hearts of the animal-loving people. The owner could not be located, and so it was decided to give the young cat a home. There was already a cat living in the household, which accepted the addition without any problems.
The three kittens are blind
It turned out that the stray cat was pregnant and three weeks later the young mother cat gave birth to three black kittens. Three weeks later, when the kittens slowly opened their little eyes, it was discovered that the newborn kittens were blind. The family tried to find people who would give the cats a home, but somehow the search was unsuccessful. Everyone felt sorry for the little kittens, but no one could imagine taking in a blind cat.
Keeping five cats would have been too much of a challenge for the family, so they turned to Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf.
"Maybe we can find a place for the kittens at your house?"
Now they are here and purring their way into the hearts of the animal keepers. Maria, Michi and Pauli are full of joie de vivre and play with the other cats as if there were no handicap.
"As long as we have to protect animals from humans, we have achieved nothing. Only when we no longer have to protect them, we will have reached our goal, then we will have changed something: US."
The animal-loving family acted from the heart and in the spirit of Michael Aufhauer. "Look, do not look away, try to help - animals are fellow creatures". The family looked and took in the pregnant mama cat. And they made an effort to accommodate the kittens well.

Our animal keepers take a lot of time for the young cats, take them in their arms and cuddle the small, tender body. In no time Maria, Michi and Pauli relax and start the most beautiful, biggest and happiest purring concert in the world.
Animals come to terms with their handicap. The young kittens have not been able to see from the first second, perhaps this fact also facilitates the acceptance of blindness? Their joy of life outshines the dull, blind eyes.
The employees of Gut Aiderbichl have been learning how to deal with blind animals for many years. Whether these are blind horses, cows, dogs, donkeys or, as in this case, blind cats. Blind animals enhance their sense of hearing and smell - for them it is the way it is. And as it is, it is worth living - every single animal's life, with or without a handicap.
