Dwarf hare Carbonara

could not have boys

A dwarf rabbit was taken in by a lady who took good care of the rabbit. Carbonara came from a cattery, because she couldn’t have any young, she was supposed to “go”.

The bunny was lovingly nursed back to health. Then came the next problem for Carbonara. Her new owner had to think about giving her away because she had been diagnosed with a hay dust allergy. Furthermore, the landlord did not want to tolerate pets in his flat.

Carbonara found her forever home at Gut Aiderbichl in Deggendorf.

Carbonara now lives in the best rabbit company

Many rabbits populate the enclosure in Deggendorf. They come from a wide variety of housing situations and had to find a new home.

For example, the white and brown rabbit Max – he was four years old when he was brought to Deggendorf. His partner had unfortunately died and the owners did not want to get a second rabbit.

The dwarf rabbit Lisa has been living in Deggendorf for around a year. Her beautiful, soft fur is white and brown with black spots. Lisa was surrendered due to a change of residence.

For health and age-related reasons, the rabbits Kiba and Shadow have been sold. The list could be continued.

It hurts the souls of animals and humans

When a decision needs to be made on how to proceed with animal husbandry if the owners’ health, spatial or financial problems get out of hand.
Shouldn’t people think more carefully about their living situation, spatial conditions, etc. before acquiring a pet? Targeted means: is it permissible to keep pets, does an average calculation of veterinary costs make sense, etc.?

Rabbits that are kept alone become lonely and eventually develop behavioural problems and diseases. So the fact is that rabbits should not be kept alone.
Dwarf rabbits are extremely social animals and absolutely need contact with conspecifics with whom they can play, “socialise” or sometimes even argue.

You can't just "park" rabbits

Carbonara and her rabbit friends have fun and affection all day long. Every single rabbit in our enclosures has its own wonderful personality and history.
Our carers take care of each individual rabbit’s soul and personality and spend as much time with them as possible. Rabbits cannot simply be “parked” in a cage – they are demanding and this must be taken into account when purchasing a new home.

Carbonara knows that the animal-loving lady meant well by her. Just as every dog and cat never forgets its owner, Carbonara will immediately recognise her former owner by her voice. Have fun with all the other rabbits in Deggendorf!
