Four ponies united forever
“When we help animals, we also help people” – one of Gut Aiderbichl’s most important guiding principles.
In life, there are always situations in which you think nothing is possible. Especially then, a dog, cat, horse or other animal can give sad people support and confidence in emergency situations – and are often their only friend in life.
We see time and again that people are no longer able to look after their pets for health or other reasons. This realisation is an additional burden.
There is no shame in asking for help because you don’t have the strength or perhaps the money to look after your pet. There is a solution for (almost) everything in the lives of humans and animals. When Gut Aiderbichl helps animals in need, in many cases it also helps people in need.
The human heart can laugh again, because the ponies are doing well
A few weeks ago, a couple contacted Gut Aiderbichl with a heavy heart to tell us that they had to part with their beloved four ponies. A tragic stroke of fate had changed the lives of these animal-loving people. Health and financial problems made it impossible to keep Edonis (5 years old), Elvis (4 years old), Jessy (17 years old) and Zoro (5 years old) in a species-appropriate and loving environment. The worst thing would have been if the four ponies had not been given a safe forever home and had been slaughtered.
The situation was so sad that the description of the circumstances almost broke my heart. The couple could hardly talk about their wish, every word was difficult.
There was a farewell, but it is not a farewell forever, because Edonis, Elvis, Jessy and Zoro can be visited in Henndorf at any time. And perhaps it also helps to know that the four of them have already settled in wonderfully at the animal visitor centre in Henndorf.
The neighbour's children's favourites
Edonis, Elvis, Jessy and Zoro are a very happy quartet on four legs and were the highlight of the people around the stable.
Zorro is a real rascal and heartbreaker and gallops into the hearts of every woman he meets. Elvis is always tempted by Zorro and Edonis to make eyes at the Aiderbichler pony ladies. Jessy’s character is that of an elegant, calm pony lady The four beautiful ponies were regularly pampered by the neighbourhood children. They groomed the ponies, cleaned their hooves and also helped with mucking out and bedding. All sorts of people wanted to help the humans and the ponies. When it was decided to find a new home for Edonis, Elvis, Jessy and Zoro, one thing was certain: they had to be able to stay together.
A happy ending at Gut Aiderbichl
From morning to night, you can meet the four cheerful ponies. They love our animal buffet, like to stop by the pig palace, regularly visit the baby donkey Sunny and also venture over to the big horses. In the main stable lane, the ponies like to stop in front of the box of our giant Markus, a Percheron. Calm and relaxed, but still curious, he then looks over the stable door and seems to ask “Hello, are you all right?”.
The friendly ponies are an absolute asset on the farm. If you are sitting quietly and calmly in front of the main stable lane, Zorro and his friends may quietly come round the bend and stop to be stroked.
They can be visited at any time and it is also clear that the four will never forget their humans and will always recognise them.
We cannot foresee what matters most in life. You always experience the greatest joy where you least expect it.
