Galgos Reno & Lolillo
Two rescued souls from Spain
Reno and Lolillo look shyly out of their transport boxes. They have travelled a long way from Spain, but they are finally safe – at Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf. What would have happened to them if they hadn’t been discovered and rescued by animal welfare organisations?
Lolillo was picked up as a stray. Reno was observed searching for food alone in the fields. In Spain, hunting dogs are often abandoned after the season and left to fend for themselves – a sad fate that befalls many of these sensitive animals. The animal welfare organisation Tierschutz Spanien e.V. fights for these dogs locally, and Gut Aiderbichl has also been supporting this mission since 2023. Together we bring as many galgos as possible to safety. They will find a new future at Gut Aiderbichl – and perhaps a loving family will be found who would like to give them a private home.
Reno - The gentle heartbreaker
The lovable male dog Reno is a little shy at first and rather uncertain in new situations. He needs some time, but is then very happy to receive attention. He shows his affection in a gentle way without being pushy.
He quickly got used to life at Gut Aiderbichl and is relaxed on the lead. He gets on well with other dogs, but he would also be happy as a lone prince if his humans have enough time for him. Reno is uncomplicated and is ideal as a first greyhound for newcomers. However, his shortened tail prevents him from being rehomed in Switzerland.
Lolillo – the cheerful sunshine
Lolillo trusts people, seeks their company and loves to be stroked. With his jet-black fur and expressive eyes, he is a real eye-catcher – but his true beauty is revealed in his loving nature.
Lolillo is an uncomplicated Galgo, perfect for greyhound newcomers. He is relaxed on the lead, has no problems travelling in the car and is a calm, even-tempered companion. But he can also be boisterous, enjoys running free with his fur friends and would be happy if he had a dog buddy in his new family.
A future full of hope
Reno and Lolillo were incredibly lucky. They were rescued and now have the chance of a loving home. Every dog that is rescued is a step in the right direction. Thanks to the cooperation between Gut Aiderbichl and Tierschutz Spanien e.V., we can give these wonderful souls a second chance and a life full of love and security!
