Gut Aiderbichl and its office cats
The most beautiful workplace far and wide - Gut Aiderbichl and its office cats
Stray cats fight for survival every day. They live on the streets, on beaches, near hotel complexes or even in domestic barns and buildings.
Many stray cats are infected with parasites and diseases, which they pass on uncontrollably to other cats living in the wild.
The Gut Aiderbichl neutering project
Gut Aiderbichl has been supporting the neutering of cats in Romania since 2018. The aim is to change people’s mindsets and teach them that neutering is the only way to curb the growth of stray cat populations and prevent the spread of disease.
In 2024, Gut Aiderbichl launched the cat neutering project in the Salzburg region with the support of veterinarians.
The office cats of Gut Aiderbichl
Animal lovers who were feeding a stray cat and its five babies wanted to help. They contacted Gut Aiderbichl’s animal emergency centre and helped us to catch the cat family. The new mum cat and her babies spent a few weeks together in the office of a Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf employee.
From then on, Ina’s workplace changed “animal-like”

Tila, Carlo and Spiro are still "office cats" at the moment
Although Tila, Carlo and Spiro also already have a special care place “in the bag”, they will not start their journey to their new forever homes until they have been neutered, after consultation with their new owners.
Ina will soon be longing for the time when she harboured a small family of cats in her Aiderbichler office.
Beautiful Sunny doesn’t want to leave Gut Aiderbichl, because …
A few months ago, we moved Sunny into another office in the Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf administration building.
Sunny and five other cats were caught and neutered as part of the neutering project in Flachgau.
Sunny is a black and white long-haired cat. When we caught her, her fur was shaggy and a thick, matted panel had formed, especially on her back. Sunny’s fur had to be shaved off and of course it was not possible to return her to the place where she was originally found after she had been completely shaved and neutered.

... she has fallen in love - with Strizi
Until a few weeks ago, Sunny lived very shy and withdrawn in the office of one of Gut Aiderbichl’s employees.
Strizi, who until a few weeks ago still lived in the large hall at Gut Aiderbichl in Henndorf, was relocated because it was getting too noisy for him in the large hall. He moved into Sunny’s new home and Strizi and Sunny hit it off from the very first second. They cuddle together as if they had never done anything else their whole lives.
Sunny turned into a cuddly cat
Strizi keeps getting cuddles, sits on her lap and is content. This made Sunny jealous and relatively quickly she shed her shyness to allow herself to be stroked.
Thanks to the animals Sunny and Strizi, the office, where the phone rings all day long and people keep coming in and out, has become a special office full of harmony and positive vibes.
