Hansi the goose and Jakob the pig
Animals are capable of true friendship
Like humans, our animal co-creatures appreciatethe closeness to other living beings. It is not only on Gut Aiderbichl’s farms that numerous friendships develop between humans and animals or even between animals of different species. Jakob and Hansi show us that unusual animal friendships can mean a bond for lifein any case.
Hansi is a Pommerngans and his friend Jakob is a pot-bellied pig. They both lived with a family who now had to find a new home for their animals.
Jakob, the pot-bellied pig, loves children, dogs and cats. He lived indoors and only went outside when he needed to relieve himself.
Jakob’s friend Hansi is a Pomeranian goose. The goose also lived for some timein the houseof the family, until a second goosewas acquired. From this point on, the geese spent spent their livesin the garden. At some point, Hansi’s conspecific died and so the pot-bellied pigJakob itsbest friend.
Now the house is in danger of collapsing, the family has to move outand for theanimals. animals hadto finda new home.
At Gut Aiderbichl you can be who you are
Hansi and Jakob have settled in well at Gut Aiderbichl Iffeldorf. There are many chattering specifics for Hansi as well “oinking” friendsfor Jacob. All day long they can move around freelyin Iffeldorf at the courtyard, but, in the evening, they go back to the shared stable. Just like they livedwith their former owners.
Hansi is a very calm, beautiful Pomeranian goose. Pomeranian geese have been around since the 14th century. The Pomeranian goose has been recognised as a breed since 1912 and is one of the most popular goose breeds in German-speaking countries.
Hansi has the typical belly sponge and the equally typical horizontal tail with short, grey feathers. It’s not just because Hansi is over 14 years old that he is calm and composed. The calm characterisalso acharacteristicof the Pomeranian goose. The colouring of the plumage is either white, grey like Hansi, or grey-chequered. Hansi’s friends among the geese are now Sissi and Dieter, two whiteße domestic geese. With them he alsowaddles aroundabout the Meadows of Iffeldorf.
Jakob is already making new friends
Jakob, the six-year-old pot-bellied pig, likes to find a quiet spot in the sun. His favourite pastimes areeating and sleeping. One of his best friends is likely to be Charly, a black pot-bellied pig. As you can see, Jakob is not so sure yet. But he will be. Charly is eight years old, and black. He was found in a car park as an eight-week-old piglet. Animal Love People found the little piglet. piglet and Charly lived in their garagefor a while, which of course was not a long-term solution. He was very shy and timid, and his eyes still look scepticalwhen you try to stroke him. Jacob is perhaps the one who will help him to like people and, above all, not to be afraid.
