Lion head Ronja
Ronja is a so called lionhead with red-brown-white fur. In a few months Ronja will be three years old and has no partner. Not because she is unfriendly. In the last three months Ronja has lost two partners and the owners did not want to do it to her to get used to a partner again, who then possibly dies again.
Ronja's owners received a promise from the Animal Emergency Center that she would find a place and many friends at the Henndorf Rabbit House.
Rabbits have always been the darlings of children
Soon they will be hobbling around in the rabbit enclosure again - our long ears. Partly the fates are the same as with Ronja: the partner dies, the people do not want to acquire a second rabbit. It is also often the case that rabbits, which were the darlings of the children, eventually lose this status, because other things in life become more important, and the rabbits no longer have a place.
In this regard, it still needs infinite education - animals are not recyclables - you can't just give them away like an empty PET bottle. They are living beings, fellow creatures and you have to know that every rabbit living in the rabbit house can also feel sadness and joy. Rabbits suffer and rejoice quietly - loudly they are in the experimental laboratories.
Ronja's new friends
Ronja takes her food well, and does not give the appearance of being very sad. However, she is reserved when it comes to finding a partner. She behaves quietly and wait and see.
According to the observations of the animal keepers, Ronja orientates herself a little more every day to the group of rabbits Klecks, Brownie and Schocko, who were also newly admitted. These three rabbits are so-called divorce orphans - the family separates, and it means to reorient themselves. Living together with the mother of two children in a nursery was not a good vision for the future. So Klecks, a lionhead rabbit and Brownie and Schocko, dwarf rabbits, came to the rabbit house in Henndorf.
There are no great cuddles, but Ronja accepts more and more the group of three.
The generously laid out hare enclosure awaits
The warmer season is slowly approaching and you already notice the desire of the rabbits to be able to go out into the meadow. There they dig, hobble around or simply sleep under a shady bush.
Ronja will also find her joy in playing with all the rabbits. Klecks, Brownie and Schocko will certainly be a support for her.
