Cat Lou
A lively whirlwind
Little Lou, who loves everyone
Little Lou is an adorable Siberian forest cat. At nine months old, she is the youngest resident at Gut Aiderbichl Traisen, an Aiderbichl outdoor sanctuary for mainly cats of an advanced age or sick, disabled cats. Lou was born with a stumpy tail and was given away by the breeder to animal-loving people. However, there was a catch: Lou was not only given away because of her stumpy tail, but especially because of her incontinence.
Lou should be taught
Lou was handed in to a vet. She was diagnosed with congenital bladder paralysis and will remain incontinent for as long as she lives. The vet’s team looked after little Lou with a lot of love and commitment. She was now living at the vet’s practice and was to be rehomed. However, the problem was that nobody wanted the incontinent cat. So Lou was now living in the lounge of the vet’s surgery, which was obviously not a long-term solution. A long-standing Aiderbichler sponsor took Lou to her heart and contacted Dieter Ehrengruber, who immediately promised Lou a new home. The vet, her team and the sponsor were delighted to have found a good solution for Lou.
Everyone loves Lou
The beautiful Siberian forest cat won the hearts of the animal carers in no time at all. She is the youngest cat in the “retirement home for cats” in Traisen. Everything here is geared towards caring for cats that require intensive care. Lou’s genital area has to be washed and creamed every day as she leaks her urine uncontrollably.
Lou takes everything very calmly. She is lively, very cuddly and her young age brings a lot of energy and vigour to the cat enclosure in Traisen. She is uncomplicated and is loved and appreciated by everyone: the dogs, the cats and the humans.
