Ox Fritzli

finds his new forever-home wonderful

Fritzli, a two and a half years old ox, lived in Switzerland and was rescued from the slaughterhouse by an animal-loving lady. She brought him to an animal-loving farmer's wife, in whose stable he can unfortunately no longer stay. In the meantime, the little ox has become a big one. Because of his size, he could have stayed in the stable in Switzerland for maximum one more year. Fritzli's rescuer contacted the animal emergency center of Gut Aiderbichl and she received the promise that he will become part of our family until the natural end of his life.

Little Fritzli had been saved at the last second

Carefree and full of joie de vivre, little Fritzli came to a farm at the age of four weeks, where the farmer's wife took special care of the little calf. At the last second Fritzli had been rescued from a dairy farm. The farmer had already sold him to the butcher, but he was to be lucky. He was ransomed and the trip to the slaughterhouse did not take place. The rescuer pulled out all the stops to find a species-appropriate home for her coal-black little charge Fritzli. She and the farmer who took him in on her farm got along well and were always in communication about how he was doing.
Fritzli felt very well taken care of by his farmer's wife, and no one had to worry about his continued life.

Fritzli's living space became too small

Fritzli's size caused more and more problems with the run and also in the stable, and his humans got worry lines. The farmer's wife discussed with Fritzli's rescuer that their mutual friend could stay on her farm for maximum one more year. The once small bull calf had now grown into a massive steer. The dairy farm and pastures where Fritzli spent his life no longer offered him enough space for his size.
On that day, he started the long journey from Switzerland to Austria, there were still many treats, a hug and even a little farewell speech for Fritzli the big, black ox with the dreamy eyes.

...it was as if Edeltraud, Enno and Lauser had been waiting for Fritzli

In the evening, the transport from Switzerland with Fritzli on board arrived at an outside yard of Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf. Fritzli calmly came out of the transporter and walked straight to the cattle Edeltraud, Enno and Lauser, who moved into the cattle barn at Gut Aiderbichl a few months ago. Since then, there has been an intimate friendship between the four of them, and it seems that he feels very much at home in the Aiderbichl cattle family.
Fritzli is probably one of those rescued cattle that, thanks to attentive, animal-loving people, did not end up at the slaughterhouse and have found their forever home in the stables and extensive pastures of Gut Aiderbichl.
He is a formidable apparition: he is a large ox with black, soft fur and faithful eyes with long eyelashes - so he now stands full life-size for "Loving Life" on one of Gut Aiderbichl's outdoor farms in Henndorf.
