Sissi and Shakira
the succession was not clarified
Sissi and Shakira, two beautiful Trakehner mares aged 17 and 20, suddenly found themselves alone. A fate that has befallen many animals who have since found a home at our animal homes.
After the death of the owner, both mares had already been placed, but unfortunately nothing came of it. They should not be brought to the slaughter in any case.
They could stay a few more weeks in a horse stable, but then they would have had to get a new home.
What will become of my pet when I can no longer take care of it?
One answer to this question is, for example, Gut Aiderbichl animal care.
Gut Aiderbichl founder Michael Aufhauser always wanted his animals to be cared for in the same way as he cared for them until he became ill. This wish gave rise to the Gut Aiderbichl animal care program. This animal care guarantees the professional and loving care of the animal until the natural end of its life. The special talent of the Trakehner
Sissi and Shakira belong to the oldest German riding horse breed. They are noble, spirited and sensitive.
Although the two mares have reached an advanced age, they lack nothing in elegance and pride.
Originally, the Trakehner comes from East Prussia, and there from the village of Trakehnen, where the horses have been bred since the 13th century.
In 1732, Frederick William, Prussian king, founded the royal Trakehner stud. The stud farm produced elegant and strong carriage horses. Later, Trakehners were used for the military. It was decided to refine the Trakehner breed and used Arabians and English breds in the Trakehner breeding.
The uncertain fate of the horses Sissi and Shakira should have a happy ending
A friend of the deceased and the authorities supported the continued life of the two Trakehners Sissi and Shakira and so they came to Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf.
After a short period of acclimatization, the two elegant mares have joined the herd of rescued horses from Deggendorf. They have made friends especially with two mares that were also taken in a few months ago. Dusty and Jenny came to Deggendorf after the death of their owner. There they can be visited by the family and are always very happy when they recognize the voices of their humans with whom they had lived for many years. One can say: a common fate is an easier fate.
Sissi and Shakira certainly had it good with their late owner. It was certainly a life full of love, affection and loyalty to the animals. The mares should have a good, harmonious life and our animal keepers in Deggendorf do everything to ensure that Sissi and her friend Shakira lack nothing.
Give a horse what it needs and it will give you its heart.
