Police horse Attila
In well-deserved civil servant pension
The service of the police horse Attila comes to a very special end. The “veteran” is leaving the Munich police equestrian squadron after 15 years of service. Chief Constable Michael Held wrote us an e-mail saying that he unfortunately had to part with his long-time companion Attila. Attila was a very reliable horse and nothing could upset him. However, due to chronic lameness caused by a tendon disease, the warmblood can unfortunately no longer be used as a police horse. Mr Held was therefore looking for a nice place to board his beloved 19-year-old Württemberger warmblood gelding. After 15 years of service with the police in Munich, Attila more than deserves to be able to enjoy his retirement in a horse-friendly manner.

A dream team unites
Dieter Ehrengruber agreed to take Attila in and Attila was soon to move into Gut Aiderbichl Iffedorf. His old “colleague” Freddy was already happily waiting there. Freddy was also a police horse and has been living at Gut Aiderbichl Iffeldorf for about a year. Now the two of them can enjoy their retirement together. A total of 8 former police horses currently live on the Gut Aiderbichl farms.
Attila and Freddy are currently enjoying the snowy pastures at Gut Aiderbichl Iffeldorf. The two are a good team and are eagerly waiting for you, dear Aiderbichl residents, to visit them again. A funny little detail: besides Freddy, Attila is particularly fond of donkeys. As soon as he sees a donkey, he starts neighing and immediately wants to jump up to it. I guess that’s what you call donkey love at first sight…
It is only thanks to your support, dear Aiderbichler and animal lovers, that we can offer animals like Attila a loving home until the end of their natural lives. Please continue to support us with a symbolic sponsorship or a donation. Thank you very much for your support!
