Ponies Tamina and Seraphina
Tamina and Seraphina were the light for a blind woman
Tamina (32 years old) and Seraphina (23 years old) lived on a farm in the Mühlviertel region for many years. The owner of the ponies cared for the animals with full commitment and love despite her blindness. Her life situation changed. Her partner ended the relationship and from then on things changed in the life of the blind woman and her two ponies Tamina and Seraphina.
Tamina and Seraphina were the bringers of light and comforters
Living on the farm as a blind woman was not possible, above all because there are no public transport connections. The woman tried everything she could to find a new home for herself and her two pets. She wanted to continue to have the ponies around her because a deep relationship had developed over the years. Feeling the soft fur and caring for Tamina and Seraphina was not really an effort, but meant everything to the loving, blind owner.
A life for the animals – suddenly everything is different
The blind woman’s future life takes place in a flat and only her dogs and cats were able to accompany her there. The situation feels sad.
Despite her blindness, sheep were saved from the slaughterhouse, the blind woman took in a donkey and a horse and everyone could be happy with her until the natural end of their lives on the farm. The most fervent wish now, after everything went differently, was to have the elderly ponies at Gut Aiderbichl.

"Gut Aiderbichl is cool ...
Tamina and Seraphina. At the moment, all possible health checks are still being carried out and the two ponies are spending their time in quarantine until all the results of the tests are available. At the moment their teeth are being checked and rehabilitated, which is of course just as unpleasant as it is for humans. But both ponies accept the checks and look forward to the day when the stable door opens and they can go out into the yard.
The animal keepers have the impression that Tamina in particular can’t wait until she can run free with the Henndorf ponies and, together with Seraphina, visit the animal buffet.
The deep bond with the blind woman is upheld
Animals – whether rabbits, cats, dogs or horses and all the others – do not forget their humans. We see this every day when former owners visit their animals at the farm. Ears are listening, noses are sniffing and there is a real joy of reunion. Tamina and Seraphina’s former owner regularly calls the animal keepers to enquire how her two old girls are doing. The two ponies will never forget the woman who cared for, fed and loved them for years – that’s for sure.

There is no greater love than that between a person and their animal.
