Romanian dogs in "mature" age hope for loving reception

From the perspective of Gut Aiderbichl

(written by Gisela Pschenitschnig)

The dog" has been a major topic since the beginning of Gut Aiderbichl's work. As one of the first to report, Michael Aufhauser of the excruciating, horrific deaths of dogs in thein the Spanish perreras Perreras. He bought many dogs free and placed them with wonderful people.

Since 2017 there is the "Stray Project Romania". The impetus for the Gut Aiderbichl project in Romania were then over 300 strays, which were cared for by an animal lover.
Romania's history and politics have changed the country's culture and, for example, the way dogs are kept. Dogs and cats live on the streets of the country, are not neutered, are eventually run over and left lying around or otherwise killed. The state helps with animal shelters, where the strays are accommodated. However, dogs and cats dogs and cats the lethal injectionif they are not not picked up within 14 days by animal-loving people. are picked up.

Raising awareness and helping animal suffering in a diplomatic way

Simon Hahn, head of the Dogssshelter in Romania, experiences small miracles every day with rescued dogs, but also many sad situations where there is no more help. Since 2017, about 700 Romanian dogs have been taken off the streets. Many of them have found loving homes, and many are still waiting for people to find a grateful, faithfulolder dog from Romania to live with them.

Dozens of dogs have been given loving homes, some older, we call them "seniors" are waiting for a place:

Bakii - is a bitch about five years old. Probably due to an accident she lost her right front leg, but this does not cause her any problems when running and walking in moderation. She is waiting with her gentle nature for a dear person, whose best friend she can be.

Sandra - is an almost nine year old bitch who was brought to Gut Aiderbichl from another Romanian animal shelter. At that time she had 4 puppies. Sandra loves people and being petted. When a human comes close to her, she demands her petting by barking softly and friendly. The dog is friendly and can live well with other dogs. Extended walks are a highlight for her and she always loves to be in the middle of the action.

Tavi - is an eight years old male dog from an animal shelter near Bucharest. The male has a solid, good-natured, friendly character and loves to be with other dogs. Like Sandra, Tavi is people friendly and loves to be petted, preferably never to stop. He is used to the leash and is a very obedient male in general with eyes that ask "When are you going to get me?".

John - is a about eight years old male, who was found in a field near the dog shelter of Gut Aiderbichl. He had probably been abandoned, and needed the help of our staff to survive. He is also a very pleasant, loving, well-socialized male who would like a safe foster home for life.

Havana - is a wonderful, cuddly bitch with gray-black fur. Meanwhile, the bright bitch is nine years old, and is still looking for a loving person to whom she can be faithful.

Erika - Erika is a six year old mixed breed female with white and black coat. Erika is a loving, well-socialized bitch who is waiting for a person she can faithfully accompany for the next few years.

The four-legged friends Bakii, Sandra, Tavi, John, Havanna and Erika hope to find a two-legged friend who can accompany them faithfully and kindly for the next few years.
Maybe you will find the one or other dog eyes of our seniors irresistible and have already taken him or her into your heart. your heart closed?

Sincerely, your Gisela.
