Even today, he hurts when his thoughts of the past catch up with him. He was kept in the experiment for 11 years without contact with other chimpanzees. He also has great difficulty learning chimpanzee language - all consequences of years of isolation. In the meantime, we noticed that he is already self-soothing by grooming himself. Despite his weaknesses, he is accepted by the others. When playing, he is a very warm and loud laugher. Meanwhile he is the first at the window to make contact when people come.
