Only recently we took in the blind calf Sassy with her mother Sarah. Both have settled in very well at Gut Aiderbichl Iffeldorf. Yesterday, Dr. Fritsche, the eye specialist for animals, visited us. Unfortunately, Sassy will not be able to have an operation. She will remain blind. And today a big and good surprise. Sassy has got a baby sister...Gut Aiderbichl is happy about Cosy's birth. Now there were exactly 400 cattle under our protection. The fact that Cosy was born on the 2nd of February helped us to get over the sad news that her sister Sassy unfortunately cannot have her eyes operated on. At least the doctor assumes she can distinguish a little light and dark. An operation would not bring much improvement, but could extinguish what little she can perceive forever. Nevertheless, she is doing well, enjoying her life and especially being with her mother Sarah.
