Anyone who meets the big black horse can vividly imagine that even hardened hooligans become tame lambs in his presence. During his time as a police horse with the Munich Police Riding Squad, Fidelio and his rider were on duty at football matches in front of the Allianz Arena, among other things. The imposing wallach was always reliable. Although Fidelio, at 13 years of age, is in his prime, the equine veterinarian in charge has declared him unfit for service due to his joint problems.
