Camel lady Franziska comes from the circus. When she got pregnant, she could no longer take part in the oriental circus act. The circus offered her to us for sale. Seen that we knew that bad things would await her if we didn't take her, we bought Franziska free. At Gut Aiderbichl Iffeldorf she gave birth to the colt Hansi. She looked after her little son with unbelievable love. As if she had sensed that due to inbreeding his health was hanging by a thread. Little Hansi died in the fourth month. Franziska's grief was indescribable. When we learned that in cases like this it can happen that camel mothers stop eating and die too, there was only one way out: As long as Franziska lamented and mourned, Martina and Hansi Süß took turns day and night to be with her. They stood by her until her grief gradually subsided and she found new courage to face life. Franziska will certainly never forget this solidarity.
