The story began with a calf that took advantage of a gap and escaped from the slaughter transport. When she could be caught and anaesthetised in a park, she was brought back to the trader. We became aware of the calf and contacted the trader. He agreed to sell the calf, but only on the condition that we also took two ponies, Gismo and Flipper. We didn't know why this was so important to him, but we seized the opportunity and the two ponies became members of our family too. In the beginning, Gismo was totally timid and the smallest in the stable, but in the meantime he has worked his way up to become the herd leader. As we all know, size doesn't matter.
