In August 2022 we received a call for help from an animal shelter in Donetsk region. They have received an evacuation notice and an animal rescuer from the city of Dobropillia has to give up her shelter. But the woman wants to fight for the lives of her 94 dogs and 31 cats and not leave them alone, to certain death. We decided to help and will do everything to bring them all safe and sound. Since we could not take all the dogs and cats at once, it was necessary to plan two trips. Grey was among the first dogs to be brought to safety.
Character:
Grey was found in Ukraine with a severe injury on his right, back paw. We do not know if he hurt himself or if it was an accident. Everything has healed well, but he has only one complete toe on this paw and accordingly he does not put much weight on it. He does not want to let strangers near him. He guards and stands in the way of strangers. He can be called away by his caregivers.
What we have practiced / got to know so far:
He can run free on our premises and can be called off by us. He walks well on the lead.
Behavior:
- Adults: alert to strangers
- Children: small children are not an option
- Cats: must be tested
- Companions: no problems with other dogs

- Diet : We feed twice a day (dry and wet food) tolerates everything well
- Vaccination: rabies, SHPPI
- Parasites: NexGard spectra
- Castration: yes

- Chipped and registered
We are looking for:
Grey's dream home would be a house with a garden and a quiet family environment. Grey likes to lie in the garden and watch his surroundings. He is easy to retrieve. Grey should be visited often and get to know other dogs.
