We received an emergency call about the young aurochs bull Gustl, who had repeatedly escaped from his pasture and joined the "normal" dairy cows on the neighbouring pasture. He apparently wanted nothing to do with his family. Gustl belongs to a breed that is threatened with extinction. The fact that he had made friends with other cattle was not welcomed, and so Gustl was threatened with trouble. We agreed to take him in. Although Gustl is used to people, we had to sedate him slightly for the transport. He arrived at Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf with wobbly legs and is now happy.
