The Carinthian Blondvieh originally comes from the area of St. Veit an der Glan, Klagenfurt and Wolfsberg. It is assumed that the Hungarian grey cattle was mainly involved in the breeding of this breed. Around 1980, the Carinthian Blondvieh was on the verge of extinction. Individualists did everything they could to save this breed. Harold came from a farmer who contacted us in desperation. He had a twin birth in the barn and to make matters worse, one of the calves had five legs. A case for Gut Aiderbichl, and so mother Jordi (†), calf Maude (†) and Harold became part of our family.
