They stood there magnificently when the Gut Aiderbichl team arrived on site. As they were known from cave paintings, aurochs are proud and wild. But they were a back-breed, created in the turmoil of the Second World War, as the original form had already died out around 1627. But no less impressive, one has to admit. On this rainy day, 17 representatives of this wonderful breed became part of our family. But why? The animal owner wanted to have them slaughtered, but he had done the math without the deputy mayor, who stood up for the animals. Michael Aufhauser did not hesitate for a second and agreed to take them in. Their lives could be saved and it gave us the opportunity to give a voice to this rare and wonderful breed. Irene Henrike also came under the protection of Gut Aiderbichl. With us she gave life to little Fabienne.
