An animal welfare activist was contacted by a farmer couple she had known for a long time. They asked the animal lover if she could help them with the castration and further care of their cats. The animal welfare activist agreed and in the further course of the telephone conversation she learned that the farmer couple wanted to stop breeding Scottish Highland cattle and that the two remaining animals on the pasture were to be shot. The woman wanted to prevent this at all costs and feverishly searched for a solution - especially for a place. After a long search, she found it, because two old Highland cattle had died at Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf shortly before - Karla and Lisa were allowed to move in.
