The owner of Karo and her kind happened exactly what every farmer is afraid of: The cattle barn went completely up in flames and almost every animal that was inside fell victim to the fire. 125 dairy cows died in agony in the flames and only seven were able to save themselves from the building. Karo was lucky, but the farmer faced ruin. A neighboring farmer was able to temporarily house the injured animals. When we heard about this, we offered our help to the farmer and bought the last seven cattle free.
