At a time when we ourselves were struggling with insecurities, we received an emergency call from a riding school that had to close. The seven oldest riding school horses would probably not find new owners and so their euthanasia was already being considered. Slaughter was out of the question, neither for the operators nor for the riding students. On the occasion of a sponsor meeting, a group of riding students came to Gut Aiderbichl and asked for the horses to be taken in. In addition to his concern for Michael Aufhauser's health, Dieter Ehrengruber made the decision to help them. From now on, nothing stood in the way of them moving in.
