Every day we receive many animal fates that are worse than the previous ones. But when the story of Lucy and Max reached us, it left us breathless. We could not get the pictures out of our heads. Because speaking here of dog keeping was an absolute exaggeration. Both had to live in small kennels and vegetate. Everywhere on the area were found animal carcasses and bones. The situation was frightening, on for the RTL reporter Thosten Sleegers, who was called to help. After many calls, complaints and intervetions the two could be helped. However, no one could or wanted to take them. At Gut Aiderbichl they have now found a species-appropriate home.
