Nougat was discarded at a dairy farm when she was only three years old. She simply did not get pregnant anymore and had thus become useless. She was sold to a cattle dealer who would take Nougat to the slaughterhouse. When we learned of Nougat's fate, we contacted the cattle dealer and were able to prevent her death. She moved into Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf. But she was carrying a secret. Nougat was pregnant and gave birth to the healthy bull calf Stefan on the 11th of April 2015. It was the first time she was allowed to keep a calf. Before, they had always been taken away from her directly after birth. With us, both are allowed to stay together until the natural end of their lives.
