The University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna has been conducting animal experiments with ponies for many years, but also with other animals such as cattle, llamas and pigs. This always in the name of progress for the veterinary medicine and without animal suffering, which is known from other experiments. The research of the last few years, in which seven ponies also participated, has brought about a further development of techniques in the field of anesthesia - groundbreaking results that can ultimately help all horses. Eliot and his friends had now reached an age at which they were to be discarded from the research. The veterinarian in charge wanted a safe place for them where they would be treated with love. So Johnny, Eliot, Muck, Pascha, Pauli, Piccolo and Shaggy came to Gut Aiderbichl.
