Carriage horses know an "expiry date" that occurs as soon as they can no longer pull the carriage for health reasons. From this point on, the owners no longer have any use for the animals and very often these poor souls start their last journey as horses for slaughter. But Peter's story proves that exceptions prove the rule. The Noriker gelding was released from the "active service" of a carriage horse. His owner wanted a great home for him and turned to Gut Aiderbichl. Peter now enjoys an all-inclusive package at Gut Aiderbichl and may stay with us forever.
