On their way home from Gut Aiderbichl France, Michael Aufhauser and Dieter Ehrengruber discovered a distressed little dog on the side of a busy six-lane motorway. They stopped on the hard shoulder and caught him. They had to take him to the animal shelter and report the find - that's the law. Every day we called, asked about him and promised to take him in if no one came forward. The Aiderbichler team took the dog out of the shelter after the deadline and when we found out that he had fallen in love with a dog, she was allowed to come too. "But that's not the dog I rescued!" he exclaimed when he saw the photos of the rescue. But what happened to the other dog? As it turned out, it was picked up by its owners, who were relieved. The confusion arose because Robby, as the little white Spitz is now called, was also picked up by animal lovers on this motorway.
