We were confronted with a terrible sight when we were called by the veterinary office for an animal inspection: 19 almost starved horses, without bedding and food under desolate housing conditions. Among them was Sam. The Gut Aiderbichl team and Managing Director Dieter Ehrengruber could not look away, because some of them were already about to go to the slaughterhouse. One was in such a desolate condition that it died the first night. But now we have to devote all our love, care and strength to the other 18 horses.
