When we entered the sales hall of a horse market, our breath was taken away. Horses were lined up very close to each other, waiting to be bought. Many cattle dealers were there and the atmosphere was oppressive. Then we discovered Tomy, who was very sceptical towards people. He kept telling people that he did not want to be touched, but they did not understand. It was clear to us that under normal circumstances there was only one option for Tomy: transport to Italy for slaughter. But Michael Aufhauser would not allow that and bought Tomy free.
