Description
& more information

We are a family of five with two dogs and are looking for a new place for our dog Mayla.

Mayla is an Am. Staffordshire female and 5 years old (born 5.08.2017). We spayed her due to two times of false pregnancy and the associated behavioral problems (nesting, aggressive fearful behavior), after which things went great again. Mayla is very athletic and teachable - extended basic commands she knows very well and also walks foot. Walks on the leash and jogging are very relaxed and Mayla is, despite the natural hunting instinct of a terrier, easy to control. She knows how to drive a car and has already been abroad with us, so she also travels longer distances without any problems.

Mayla loves search games for food, but also cuddling on the couch. She loves the water, loves diving for big rocks for her life and could swim for hours 🙂 .

Our son is soon two years old and is now increasingly looking for contact with the dogs. The reunion with our male dog worked out without any problems, but Mayla increasingly aggressively rebukes our son and would also grab him without a muzzle. The attempts of socialization, of course with the help of a trainer, unfortunately failed, which is why we are forced to find a new home for Mayla. The most suitable home for her seems to be a household without small children, she knows and likes bigger children (10+). Of course it would also work to bring her together with another dog, but we would have to work on that, Mayla gets along great with our male dog! Before we got our 2nd male dog, Mayla lived with my first male dog (Jack Russell Terrier) and that also worked out great (See photo ☺️). She also gets along great with the neighbor dogs.

Mayla does not like cats. Horses, sheep and other farm animals ... don't matter to her, she ignores them.

Mayla knows both the life in an urban apartment and one in a rural house and also stays alone.

Of course only if I have to, I am a student and currently on maternity leave, my husband works full time.

Of course Mayla has an EU pet passport, is fully vaccinated, chipped and regularly dewormed.

It is possible to get to know each other by appointment.

We are happy to drive further distances to get to know each other, our wish is to find a place for Mayla where she feels comfortable and gets what she deserves!
