When we found Arcado, he was only half a year old. He was standing there, pressed close to his foster mother. They were to be sent together on a slaughter transport. We wanted to prevent this and bought Arcado and Angela free. An examination revealed that he had chips (cartilage fragments) in his hocks and that they were swollen accordingly. This was probably the reason why he had to leave. We gave him time at Gut Aiderbichl and soon the scared and shy foal became a playful little stallion (later wallach), with joie de vivre.
