Many people underestimate horse keeping in terms of costs. It is not done with the hiring fee alone. Vet, farrier, dentist, maybe even special feed and much more come up. The costs for the beautiful Avon were simply no longer affordable for his owner. When he turned to us, a new stable had just been completed at Gut Aiderbichl and we were able to accept him. But every time we take in an animal, we also incur costs that we have to calculate well, because we have promised our animals that they will be allowed to stay forever and that nothing will ever happen to them again!
