At a large agricultural exhibition, Bables, 6 other piglets, 5 sows and 4 boars advertised a barn that was far from species-appropriate. The plastic slatted floor was dyed green and kept meticulously clean. There was no straw at all for the animals, which "lived" close together. After 14 days on display, all these pigs would have been threatened with death. Official requirements and regulations, such as the 30-day quarantine, make it almost impossible to house the pigs on a farm as in the past. We were able to save all 15 pigs that were to be killed and take them home.
