The gentle Bienchen belongs to the breed of South German cold-blooded horses, which were predominantly bred and also "used" in Bavaria! This breed is characterised by an incredible calmness, composure and strength, which makes them very good draft animals. We found Bienchen and other conspecifics at the foal market in Rottenbuch, where she took part in the auction. Many of the buyers are traders and quite a few of the foals later find themselves on a slaughter transport. On that fateful day, Bienchen saw her mother for the last time at the age of only about 5 months.
