Hermine did not want to simply accept her fate. Only two years old, she was to meet her end in a slaughterhouse near Stuttgart. But she saw her chance and took flight. She ran right through the old town to a beautiful castle park. There she could be caught again and was brought back. A woman heard about Hermine's fate and bought the cow free. But she could not keep a cow herself and so she turned to Gut Aiderbichl.
