Shortly before Christmas 2013, Gut Aiderbichl managed to get two donkeys from Greece. Among them was Wanja. She belonged to a kindergarten teacher who had been given Wanja by the locals. For years she made sure that Wanja lacked for nothing. But when retirement came, combined with a move to Germany, she did not want to simply leave the donkey behind. Wanja became an Aiderbichler. What we did not know at the time: Wanja had meanwhile made friends with two other donkeys, and was pregnant when she arrived. On October 6, 2014, she gave birth to little Marie at Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf.
