Horses that come under our lifelong protection are not always plagued by suffering, illness or old age. Often it is human fate that puts an animal in danger. As in Skylight's case. Her owners were desperate. Skylight had accompanied them for a long time, but now they had to admit to themselves that they could no longer guarantee the animal- and species-appropriate care of the well-behaved mare. They did not want to take the risk that Skylight would have fallen into the wrong hands if she had been placed privately. So the owners turned to Gut Aiderbichl and asked for help. We were allowed to agree and Skylight moved into Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf.
