Nala

Nala and her friend Neila came to us as foals. Now you might ask yourself: they still have their whole lives ahead of them, are healthy and fit - what are these horses doing on a sanctuary? Nala was simply not beautiful enough and if an Aiderbichler had not stood up for the two foals and their lives, they would probably have found themselves on a transport to Italy for slaughter. Many foals embark on this terrible journey only to find their way back to our latitudes as salami.
