As a carriage horse, Vera could be found at weddings, carnival parades and harvest festivals. For 18 years, the ambitious and always reliable mare mastered every task she was given. For example, she was sometimes used as a tree-back horse. Vera was like a family member to her owner and it was visibly difficult for him to say goodbye to the Noriker mare. Due to osteoarthritis in her carpal joint, Vera could no longer withstand the strain in front of the carriage. That is why she can enjoy her retirement at Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf. At over 20 years old, she has truly earned her retirement.
