In economically difficult times, circuses have to make tight calculations too. The animals bought in the optimism of better times lose their place. When the circus made a guest appearance near Deggendorf, the director remembered Gut Aiderbichl and paid us a visit. We agreed to take in the three most explosive cases: Donkey Ludwig, as well as the two pony stallions Bubi and Blacky were allowed to become part of our family. If we had not helped, they would have been threatened with slaughter. With us, they have now exchanged the circus tent for the heavenly tent.
