When we found Michelle at a horse slaughter market in the middle of Austria, she was only a few months old. She was snuggled up very close to her mother Remy. It's hard to imagine what would have happened if Michael Aufhauser hadn't found them. They would probably have found themselves on a slaughter transport to the south or east of Europe. At Gut Aiderbichl they were allowed to stay together and Remy was allowed to raise her daughter.
