The situation with goats is the same as with cattle. Male animals are completely uninteresting for the dairy industry. The only way left for them is slaughter. Herbert Elvis belongs to the Saanen goat breed, which is often used for dairy farming. He would have faced a fate as a fawn roast too. He was lucky - he was born on the farm of an Aiderbichl woman who did not want to do that to him. She asked us to take him in so that Herbert Elvis could live on in peace. When he arrived at Gut Aiderbichl, he immediately made the place unsafe and greeted our visitors with unbelievable warmth. Just as if he had done nothing else all his life.
