The South German coldblood is the national horse breed of Bavaria, and it is not uncommon to see them harnessed to carriages in various parades. They probably have their origins in the Alpine region. The first records can be found in connection with the Romans and their conquests through Europe. The great importance of the South German cold-blooded horse for the people and their buildings has been lost. What remains is the memory and tradition. We found Vasco at a horse market in Rottach-Egern and bought him free, as presumably only dealers would have been interested in him. Together with 10 other foals, he became an Aiderbichler!
