When we bought Jerry and his companion from a cattle trader, we were shocked by their behaviour. Again and again they attacked people. They even attacked the staff at the clinic where their castration was to be carried out. One thing was clear: they were panic-stricken. Our task was to gain their trust and take away their fear. Jerry, who always gave the impression that he took cover at every movement of the keepers, has meanwhile approached us. There is no longer any trace of the original insecurity and panic. But one question remains: What have these two ponies had to go through? We will probably never know, and hopefully Jerry and his companion will one day not even remember.
