When we bought Jerry and his companion from a cattle dealer, we were very shocked by their behavior. They kept attacking people. They even attacked the clinic staff at the clinic where they were to be neutered. One thing was clear: they were terrified. Our task now was to gain their trust and take away their fear. Jerry, who always gave the impression that he was running for cover every time the carers moved, has now come closer to us humans. There is no longer any trace of his original insecurity and panic. But one question remains: What have the two ponies had to go through? We will probably never know, and hopefully one day Jerry and his companion won't even remember.
